Leading Lights Network TV Show
In 2016/17 I was involved in the development of the Leading Lights Network TV show when they were approached by TBN UK for a slot for a faith-based show.
I intially worked on the opening sequence track without a video and worked on the original demo with limited equipment as I was in the process of moving my studio from one place to another.
The Original - 2016/17
While it made its way onto TV, I’ve been less than satisfied with what has initially been released, mainly because of the way it was recorded.
All the guitar parts are acoustic guitars recorded through the Macbook internal microphone, and ran through an Amp sim to provide the overdriven or crunchy guitars.
I intended to record like this, present it, and then re-record if they liked it. But the original recording that took 5 minutes became the piece that aired on TBN UK and now also on African Faith-based TV,
The Update - 2024
Since starting Purpose Music in 2023, I developed a new appreciation for this work that was out there in the market. I felt that I should offer whether they would like the quality and sound of the intro music.
With the construction of the track being so simple, a moving repeating chord sequence in the key of A, recreating this piece was simple.
Using the correct instruments for each part allowed the track to be warmer than the original.
The new underlying pad and synths allow the song to feel more full and approrpiate for the project.
